About Veritas Community Counseling:

Veritas Community Counseling is a small, young group practice for Counseling and Psychotherapy located in Springfield Oregon, and we are looking to grow our team. We intend to offer a broad spectrum of behavioral health care for individuals, couples, and families. We are invested in supporting our clients in a professional, efficient, and compassionate way and want to make a difference in their lives and help improve the health and wellness of our communities. We also care deeply about our team and offer a warm and supportive work environment, with a focus on a healthy balanced life. We enjoy working in a collaborative relationship and are most focused on finding the best fit for additions to our team. While we serve the community at large, a main demographic of our practice are Christian, faith-based clientele that are referred from churches.

Job Description:

Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral, within the context of individual health or marriage and family systems in an outpatient setting. Apply psycho-therapeutic and/or family systems theories and techniques in the delivery of services to individuals, couples, and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed nervous and mental disorders.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform on-site clinical counseling services to patients of Veritas Community Counseling, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.

2. Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work are required.

3. Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Veritas Community Counseling.

4. Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc., or through the Veritas Community Counseling website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients.

5. Communicate with a clients’ treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.

6. Timely complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time to time by Veritas Community Counseling or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the clients within a timely fashion. Keep client's files accurate and up to date.

7. Attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings.

8. Veritas is contracted with only one health insurance carrier (PacificSource) and new therapists will be expected to panel with them. As soon as paneled, new therapists will start receiving new clients (paneling can take up to 3 months).

9. Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Veritas Community Counseling. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.

10. Other duties which may be assigned by Veritas Community Counseling.

Hours:

We offer part-time or full-time positions. Work hours and schedule may vary depending on client and Veritas Community Counseling needs. Hours may include some weekday evenings and/or weekends. The therapist is not guaranteed a minimum number of clients or sessions per week. However, it is expected that the Therapist will be available to hold at least 12-19 (part-time), 20-28 (full-time) direct client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Veritas Community Counseling. Sessions are held in the offices of Veritas Community Counseling. We also offer Telehealth services to clients. In some cases Telehealth services might be offered from the clinician’s home when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Master or Doctoral level degree in Counseling, Social work, or Psychology.

• Candidates must be licensed in the State of Oregon; LPC, or LMFT, or LCSW, without restrictions.

• Preferred: Candidates with a minimum of 3 years post-graduate relevant clinical experience will have our preference over candidates with less experience.

• Candidates should have computer skills, and the ability to master electronic health record software.

• Candidates need to be willing to panel with health insurance carriers.

What We Offer (LT)

Therapists are employees of Veritas Community Counseling. Compensation is based on a fee for service productivity. Therapists work their preferred number of hours and are compensated at a rate based on the amount billed. Starting percentage is 55% per appointment for a 90 day period and 60% per appointment after. 

We provide therapists with clients and their initial scheduling, along with the handling of all insurance-related details (claims, billing, payments, etc.). 

We offer Health Insurance including vision insurance (for full-time employees after 90 days of employment)

Up to two weeks PTO per year, after 90 days. (based on full-time employment of ~25 hrs per week)

We offer a yearly CEU stipend.

Therapists have a comfortable and beautifully designed office space, professional consultation, and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Master or Doctoral level degree in Counseling, Social work or Psychology.

• Candidates must be Board Registered Associate in the State of Oregon; Professional Counselor Registered Associate, Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Associate or CSWA , without restrictions.

• Candidates need to have relevant experience: Individual or child/family/couples therapy (vs case management)

• Candidates should have computer skills, and the ability to master electronic health record software.

What We Offer (AT)

Therapists are employees of Veritas Community Counseling. Compensation is based on a fee for service productivity. Therapists work their preferred number of hours and are compensated at a rate based on the amount billed. Starting percentage is 40% per appointment for a 90 day period and 45% per appointment after. Clinical supervision is provided and Associates will be able to accumulate hours towards licensure. 

We provide therapists with clients and their initial scheduling, along with the handling of all billing-related details (billing, payments, etc.). 

We offer Health Insurance including vision insurance (for full-time employees after 90 days of employment)

Two weeks PTO per years, after 90 days. (based on full-time employment of ~25 hrs per week)

We offer a yearly CEU stipend.
